They are dead wrong.

Meta didn’t buy Moltbook because they want to build a thriving ecosystem for silicon-based influencers. They bought it because their core business—human-to-human connection—is decaying, and they are desperate for a synthetic graveyard to hide the bodies. Moltbook isn't the future of social media; it is the ultimate admission that the "social" part of the internet is over.

The Synthetic Dead-End

The common narrative suggests that as AI agents become more sophisticated, they need a "space" to interact. The logic goes that if humans have Facebook, AI should have Moltbook.
